Sales Support Engineer
MentorWorks Education Capital, a workforce development company, is looking for a Sales Support Engineer to join one of our employer partners. Candidates will be screened by the MentorWorks team. If selected, the candidate will move on in the process to our employment partner.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Client is in full growth mode and requires a Sales Support Engineer with multiple skill sets and experience. The selected candidate will be responsible for working with and communicating with our sales force, aiding in the design of portable power distribution units and power cable assemblies. It is important that the sales support engineer has a comprehensive understanding of certifications i.e., UL, CSA, NOM, as well as experience in the process requesting additional certifications from these agencies. The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
Responsibilities:
- Effective communication with direct sales force and manufacturer representatives
- Provide technical support to outside sales force
- Introduce new opportunities/designs requested by the sales force to the engineering department
- Support in portable power distribution and power cable assembly design
- Assist with quoting and follow up with customers on project status
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology Degree
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
- An understanding of certification and compliance protocols and processes such as UL, CSA, NOM, Conflict of Material/Conformity reports etc.
Knowledge Of:
- Industrial electric products
- Portable power distribution/Distribution panels
- Power cable assemblies and application
- Proficient with CAD or equivalent engineering software
- Comprehensive computer skills (CRM, MS Outlook, Power Point, etc.)
- Spanish fluency (desirable)
