Administrative Sales Assistant

MentorWorks Education Capital, a workforce development company, is looking for an Administrative Sales Assistant to join one of our employer partners. Candidates will be screened by the MentorWorks team. If selected, the candidate will move on in the process to our employment partner.

Immediate need for an Administrative Sales Assistant to join a fast-growing company in San Antonio near the airport with an inviting and energetic culture that has consistently been recognized as one of the best in the industry. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, organized, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. Experience working in a brokerage firm with HEB or a large retailer as a liaison is a huge plus.

Administrative Sales Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter a high volume of data from multiple sources into the customer portal
  • Manage day-to-day relationships
    • Email inquiries and requests
    • Manage and maintain assigned project calendars
    • Phone inquiries
    • Create and manage various Excel cost, sales, and information tracking reports
    • Appropriate follow-up
    • Maintain internal database
  • Prepare CEO for sales calls and conduct appropriate follow-ups
    • Fine-tune PowerPoint decks & pricing
  • Logistics
    • Communicate shipments & shipment deliveries

Administrative Sales Assistant Skills:

  • Strong computer and keyboard skills, which include MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, Advanced Excel, and Outlook. MS Office certification is a plus
  • Database management
  • Proficient mathematical skills
  • Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
  • Effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • Complete multiple projects timely as scheduled
  • Organize and prioritize daily duties in order to meet needs
  • Ability to problem solve and devise creative solutions
  • Perform under tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Proactively collaborate with other team members

Education:

  • Associate’s / Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience

Administrative Sales Assistant Experience:

  • 3-5+ Years experience with the following:
    • Office environment experience
    • Data organization and entry
    • Processing/Creating purchase orders
    • Private-label product promotions
    • Tracking vendor shipments and updating destination store
